What is Therapy and How Can it Help You?
Therapy, also referred to as counseling, can help individuals overcome many challenges ranging from meeting personal goals, resolving long-term mental health symptoms, or healing from the past. Therapy is more than “venting”. It’s a safe place, absent of judgment, to work on bettering yourself.

Modalities of Treatment
There are many models of therapy. Some focus on the here-and-now, some are patient-driven, and some are more focused on insight building. The therapy models we use at Paragon are implemented based on an individual’s needs. Every treatment session is unique to the person we are treating.

Our Philisophy of Care
We believe in building a safe, supportive, and trusting relationship with our patients, where you can open up to someone who is nonjudgmental, neutral, and objective. Therapy is a collaborative effort. We are here to help you better understand yourself and your problems, identify your goals, and plan the steps you want to take towards healing and growing. Your privacy, confidentiality, and safety are our top priorities. Your information is safe-guarded by our trained professionals.
No Show/Late Cancelation Policy
Therapy is a commitment and an agreement. When an appointment is scheduled, the time is set aside for you and no one else. The hour is not double-booked, and attendance to sessions is very important for your therapeutic momentum. Cancellations and missed appointments not only interfere with your treatment progress, but also affect other clients who could have used that hour but were scheduled at a later date.
Consequently, it is appreciated that cancellations and/or missed appointments are avoided unless there is an emergency or an illness. Your clinician will make every effort to provide you the same courtesy.
If you must reschedule or cancel an appointment, please provide advance notice (greater than 24 hours) so that the hour can be given to another client. This kindness is appreciated and shows a commitment to your treatment as well as respect for the needs of other clients and your clinician’s time.
An appointment cancelled on less than 24 hours notice, and missed appointments, will be charged a $60 cancellation fee. This fee will not be charged to insurance, and is your responsibility to pay in full. Same-day cancellations due to weather conditions (snow & ice) or illness will not be charged as long as a correspondence is received by the office the morning of the appointment. Two no shows/late cancelations within 30 days will result in discharge from services. We will assist you further by providing resources to help you find an alternative provider.
