We would like to invite autistic teens 12-17 to enroll in our Virtual Reality Program.

We are developing scenarios targeting:
-Independent Living Skills
-Safety
-Social Interactions
-Vocational Preparedness
Currently, we have 3 scenarios developed in our independent living skills category.
Scenarios & Info:
Scenario 1: Let’s get chopping! In this first scenario, participants walk through the steps of safely cutting, washing, and preparing vegetables.
Scenario 2: Turn it up! Time to fire up the stove and learn how to make some delicious mac ‘n cheese. This scenario details liquid measuring, following detailed instructions, and putting it all together.
Scenario 3: It’s chickie nuggie time! Finally, let’s get the oven cranking and the nuggies cooking. Participants learn how to safely use an oven, timer, and cook some crispy chicken.

Not to worry! We do too. Our headsets will fit over glasses and we have an additional expanding option.
We find it perfectly comfortable with our glasses on, for the most part, without the expander.

Group is held in one of our on-site locations. While we will be using Virtual Reality headsets, participants have to be physically located in one of our offices.

While this is a relatively new application for virtual reality, there are studies that suggest this is an effective teaching tool.

Our VR program accepts:
Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH)- Berks County Medical Assistance
PerformCare- Lancaster County Medical Assistance
A participant must have Medical Assistance (MA) in one of the above mentioned counties.
